BUTTER GOODS' Q1 2022 DROP PRESENTS COZY ESSENTIALS AND PLAYFUL GRAPHICS
Western Australia’s Butter Goods is best known for its classic skateboarding silhouettes and design tropes, but in recent years, the Garth Mariano and Matt Evans-helmed label has made strides with its wider range of styles, and for Q1 2022, the story is no different.
As expected, Butter Goods delivers T-shirts and sweaters emblazoned with various takes on its moniker, but it’s the rest that really stands out this season. From the “Cymbal Knit Sweater” that depicts an overall-wearing bear clashing cymbals to the “Roots Pullover” that sees flowers grow from Butter’s logo alongside the phrase “Roots Keep Growing,” the brand has elevated its graphics and in turn delivered one of its most comprehensive and wearable mainline offerings thus far.
Aside from graphic pieces, we find cozy staples including over a dozen hats and a few pairs of socks, as well as scriptive cable knit jumper, a stunning brown and pink club-knit cardigan, a selection of “Melody Plaid” overshirts, and a denim pair of pants that’s been adorned with a spider web graphic. Paired with a strong selection of trousers, Butter Goods’ Q1 2022 drop offers looks that can be worn all-year-round and ones that can be interchanged with one another — or simply put, it serves the most important rule of staple clothing, that it can always be worn aside from trends and seasons.
